    Sly satellite cable?

Hey, I've had a sly satellite and sly cables going into other rooms which still work despite me leaving sly a while ago

after getting satellite receivers, Would I be able to connect a cable to the satellite from another room?

If so, is it a long procedure and what would I need? (Bearing in mind its quite a short distance from the dish)

    Thanks a lot.

Yes plugging a satellite receiver into an unused $ly satellite feed should result in FTA channels being available

I'm aware of that, how would I be able to get that into another room?

You would have to have separate feeds from each port of the LNB assuming you have a standard Fitted Quad if so its quite easy adding extra feeds

if you were not using a receiver in that room you could get a cable joiner and run it into other room like a f plug coupler.

always better to have a cable run with no joins but shite happens and gets cut too short

Looks like im going to have to do this as i cant run a cable from downstairs into the loft.

The satellite is close to the loft window, do you suggest I pay someone to fit the cable?

if you can safely get access to dish you can do it yourself, there are things called flat satellite cable coupler for passing through a window with no drilling allowed.

Guess I could pass it through the window, does this look to steep to be safe?

Of course. Would it be safe to walk across the roof to run the cable through the window?

No certainly not a said Safety comes first, if you fall i shudder to think what could happen and for the cost of actually getting an installer in to fit the new feed does not compare to a human life or even the damage that can be done from a fall no matter how confident you feel.

pass cable out window first, then if u can use ladder to reach dish attach outside, then go up into loft and do the bizz.
