Newbie sky question

Thanks to Virgin bringing Nagra3 into my area means im now going to move to sky..Im having sky fitted on Tuesday..and cos im missing sports im paying (ERRRRRR, havent done that for ages), for sky sports package...Is there any box that i can buy that could connect straight to the sky dish that would allow me to watch sports(and movies) like i used to do on my starview..Cheers.

While an ex cable boy myself, really you cant expect premium TV for free. I guess we will see more posts like this here in the next couple weeks as n1 gets shut down.

Your only option I guess is c/s on satellite, but IMO its only worth it if you have access to more than 1 satellite.

You need remember that whilst V*rgin was hacked S*y is definetly not hacked so there aren't any boxes you can buy to watch free tv. You can pay S*y or you can some c/s payserver to get the same service but either way you are going to have to pay someone unless you are prepared to spend several hours or days reading and googling for information.

@ OP, the way you post immitates that you believe TV providers owe you something. the norm to Premiuim TV is to Pay. What you had was a gift, its gone now so you should get over it and move onto paying. You copuld google CS but to have a watchable Pic you need to pay for a card, pay for a server or SPEND about 6 hours a day tuning a Virtual server for a few weeks. No further CS talk here though.
