New Reciever Openbox f3 / Skybox f3?

Has anyone used this new box...is it any good?
Even if you havent..does anyone know if this box records any better than the current Skybox S11. Also does it have working 7 day epg?

Improved OSD but the EPG will be the same as S9-12 as far as I'm aware.

Yeah i was wondering the same a guy selling on ebay and in description it says will support electronic program (epg) for 7 days. If true would prob buy

Doesn't the S9-12 have a 7 day epg? It just doesn't work.

They all have 7 day epg, just not for sky

There is any tool that can I use to connect F3 via LAN

I just got one of these.

I set it up Fixed on 28 East & gave it a C lion.

Works very well & fast.

Picture quality is about the same as openbox S10/S11.

Pretty much the same set up as an openbox really.

The one advantage though is that you can actually see the
whole of the channel name in the listing where on the openbox it misses out the last few letters or numbers.

Example...

Openbox would have a listing like this..

Sky Sports $
Sky Sports $
Sky Sports $
Sky Sports $

The Skybox F3 is like this..

Sky Sports 1 HD $
Sky Sports 2 HD $
Sky sports 3 HD $
Sky Sports 4 HD $

& i much prefer to see the whole channel name without guessing.

The Skybox F3 displays the full channel name.

It also has 1080p whereas the Openbox only has 1080i

However, the Skybox F3 DID NOT HAVE a CAM slot as claimed in the ads.
It does have a card reader though.

Overall though, i think the Skybox F3 is better than the openbox.

I need to test on a motor now.

Rigsby71 do you have a channel list for f3 you can post here? Tried s11 list but you have to rename folders etc.

Has anyone got any sort of channel list for skybox f3, you cannot rename favs in any of the available software, ie Alieditor/STBHEditor/satedithd will let you rename but when uplading to box it changes back to favs.
