I have an S10 and had heard of then upcoming S11; surprised to read somehere the other day about someone who had indeed bought an S16.

All good.

The firmware that came in my S16 did not have north american birds and the firmware seems to have an issue, so I hope to load new firmware into the S16. It did have a EU to US ac adapter which is needed.

S16 Openbox

The S16 has many interfaces including an optical out. I have not had a chance to test it. You need to connect the analog video out first to allow you to change video display via the ir remote to a compatible format which clears your analog video picture and sets your HDMI out to 1080 HD format.

this version start with chinese menus need changing to english after upgrade solve restart problem and cccam but not save last chanel after shutdown

i have the OB s16 and tried to upgrade to 2.7 english
same bootloop...

can someone please give the steps to do to get it fixed?..

i have no idea what to do - dont know much about ports and etc..

Any improvement with 2.8.1 Firmware Installed?

Can anyone comment if the 2.8.1 firmware linked above has actually improved their S16 in anyway what-so-ever?

Either in terms of the programme guide or the CAMs?

Tried this firmware no great improvement using newcam hd channells not clearing. Heard of 2.2az firmware going to try it.

Ha you have the same version of openbox s16 that mine

The only mode to fix the reboot is loading with null mode cable by rs232 port this file that is the more recent for this "specials" version of Openbox s16
