Skybox F3 setup... anyone help me out?

So im trying to set my new skybox f3 up.

Do i need to upload any other software to the box?

I have mgcam and cccam details but when i type them in and save, rescan and reboot. I get no channels still.

Am i missing something?

have you turned dhcp off?
and why are you rescanning after entering sealions?

what router are you using out of interest?

I had to use an old belkin one as a bridge for my isp router as my skybox would not work on my isp modem/router effort.

If i turn DHCP off it asks for a anternate DNS...? My old boxes i did not need to turn off DHCP?!?

Im using d-link DIR635 along side my virgin superhub (in modem mode)

Have you tried it in both routers? And just use cccam and make sure you have made the cline active in network settings.

I had the same problem with my first time virgin openbox cam setup being a dm500 person for years.

Have you uploaded a cccam.cfg to your box via usb?

I have tried 2 routers, I have activated the cline. I have not used USB for anything. I just manually put the cccam.cfg details in.....

Might be a faulty ethernet port then mate can you try it in a mates house?

Might be but before ruling that is there anything AT ALL i need to check or do before hand?

The details are all correct from my end

The guy i got the box off said i do not need to do anything only add my cline...

Well first of make sure your server of choice isn't down. I'd check the firewall settings on your router too ftp://ftp.dlink.co.uk/dir_products/d..._manual_10.pdf page 43 and this bit:

Specify the IP address of the computer on the LAN that you want to
have unrestricted Internet communication. If this computer obtains
it?s IP address automatically using DHCP, be sure to make a static
reservation on the Basic > DHCP page so that the IP address of
the DMZ machine does not change

I got a 24 hour freebie from someone else and it works a dream. Therefore box is all good. Something up with my settings or server. Waiting for the guy to get back to me before i go any further. Thanks for your input.
