Skybox F5 help needed

I plan to buy a brand new SkyBox F5 and to be honest I have heard good opinions for that.

I want to know. Do SkyBox F5 has tool or software to connect via PC ? And the main thing I want to know is, how Skybox F5 manage channels to create favorites or bouquets ?

I am used with DM500 (Vhannibal). Also my friend has Amiko Alien 8900 and it has one settings maker for channels.

Something similar for Skybox F5 ?

yes its called (stbhd lan mm ) connects box to pc or use usb and with the f5 if its connected you can upgrade through the internet(not done it this way myself)and the tool i think your looking for is ali editor, think you,ll find it in the stickies (RED SECTION TOP OF THE PAGE)

I've equally wondered if this tool exists. I know there's no tool to rename favorites yet on the X5. However, am not ruling out this Ali editor for X5 if it works for F5.

it would worry me upgrading if you are using wifi system cause if the flash gets interupted good chance of bricking your box maybe old fashioned but always safer to upgrade using usb stick less chance of any problems.

Not really because the whole image file is first copied over before it starts to flash, it doesnt actually flash across the network..
