Thats the router i had trouble with and could not get it sorted, hassle talktalk for a new router , or buy another one (i'd hassle talktalk before spending money) < say you play xbox live and it really lags and if its not sorted out you'll cancel the contract (because they are not sticking to there terms of the contract

So the box works as you say but not on your network. Connect box to network correctly and restart box and router. If no then go into router settings and check settings. I assume when you connected to open network you were wireless then you mention you have tp link=wired what are you trying to set up wired or wireless?

Can you ping your M3 from your pc?
If you ping your M3 with the pc that means your M3 is connecting to your home network, try with wired as well as wifi.

The sky box can connect to my network ,it tells me that, but it will not decode any channels ,which i don`t understand. when its connected to a open network(neighbours free interent) the skybox works and decodes every channel ,whats wrong with my network?

That definitely points to either your router or your internet provider make sure the firewall in your router is not blocking your M3 for some reason or like post 4 suggest your router might just have bad ping speed talk to your internet provider ask for a solution from them.

Where are you looking to see that it's connected to your network?

Did you try pinging the box from your pc?

On another forum a mention was made that a old talktalk router had problems and they contacted talktalk and persuaded them to send a new router which solved the problem.
