Can I ask what exactly is the latest channel list? The last one I see is a month old

the latest channel list was yesterday 30th August 2013 and is the first post in this thread:

Channels not working:
Sky 3D (170)
Luxury Life (273)
holiday+crise (284)
Sky Disney HD (305)
CI+ (554)
The Dept Store (681)
The Mall (682)
Sky Insider HD (889)
HD Retail Info (101)
Akaal Channel confirmed Sly EPG number 858

Sky 3D (170) works in daytime mainly most days starts 9am
Luxury Life (273) works from 9am to 2pm
holiday+crise (284) working fine
Sky Disney HD (305) works daytime & evening only not 24 hour channel
CI+ (554) working fine
The Dept Store (681) working fine
The Mall (682) working fine
Sky Insider HD (889) there's nothing on the channel at the moment
HD Retail Info (101) Working fine
Akaal Channel confirmed Sly EPG number 858 (I only move the channels from temporary place when they actually get added to the Sky HD EPG) should be added to EPG late September

Hi Guys

I upgraded (well I thought I did) my openbox.

I put the new channel list on it and now none of the channels work not even the FTA, before I did the upgrade on channel list it was all working fine. Any ideas what could possibly be wrong?

p.s. ive also tried a satellite scan but still no joy

So it's safe to do? Only the channel list will change but they'll all work? Are asian channels included?
Sorry that I'm being such a pain in the ass but my dad paid for the service and its my head if it messes up :/

Don't worry about being a pain as everyone has to start somewhere, at least your asking questions to make sure you do it right.

Follow the instructons below:

How to Dump existing firmware & All settings

1 Place Memory Stick in Skybox
2 Press menu on the skybox remote
3 Go to Dump by USB
4 Go down to Start & Press OK
5 Press OK on Option 1 & 2 so there is a tick next to 3601HD_Backup.abs & System Settings
6 Now Press the yellow button to Dump
7 After a few seconds the screen should say Dump all finished Press info key for results
8 press info key on the remote and make sure that 3601HD_Backup.abs & System Settings have the word OK after them
9 Now that it's finished you will have a file named 3601HD_Backup.abs on your memory stick
10 Copy the file 3601HD_Backup.abs from your memory stick to SOMEWHERE SAFE (DO NOT LOSE IT), email the file to yourself if you have to.

How To back up existing Gift/Server/*line

1 Place a memory stick in the usb port on your skybox
2 Go to menu on the remote control and find the option Dump by USB and select it
3 Where it says dump mode change to Misc Files, scroll down then and click on Select & Dump
4 At this menu press ok on the remote so that CCcam.cfg (CCcam Plug) has a green tick next to it & newcamd.list(MGcamd.plug) has one as well
5 Now Press the yellow button on the remote
6 After a few seconds the screen should say Dump all finished Press info key for results
7 press info key on the remote and make sure that CCcam.cfg (CCcam Plug) has the word OK after it & newcamd.list(MGcamd.plug) says ok as well
8 Exit the menu back to the normal tv screen
9 Remove the memory stick from your Skybox
10 Place the memory stick in your PC Now, there should be a file on there called CCCam.cfg & Newcmd.list
11 Copy the file CCCam.cfg & newcamd.list from your memory stick to SOMEWHERE SAFE (DO NOT LOSE IT), email the file to yourself if you have to.


You can now install the channel list as you have backups of your whole box in case anything ever goes wrong with it.
All the asian channels are included on the list. If you look at the link below the channels follow that format and the numbers listed under each channel.

Yes, it's important to update your channel list when they move

It will replace the channels the shop provided. Occasionally, the favourites may not change when channels updated (ie favourites stay as they are now) but I'm sure Sattv5 sorted this occasional problem. You should be able to rename your favourites if this does happen.

It will not mess with your service in anyway unless you reset back to defaults, etc

Hi, i'm new to all of this. Anyway, I've got my SkyBox F3 with channels from some shop and they provide the service/channels for me (12 months). If i get the channel list, it wont effect my service will it? Like frequencies and server stuff? I just want to triple check in case i mess up..

SS Ashes HD can't view tried re-scan tp list for that freq no joy :-(
SS Ashe SD is fine and others on the same tp is good.
Just doing a network scan and see what I can find and let you guys know.

Channel 4 Ireland $ flag set
Channel 4 +1 Ireland $ flag set
Sports Interactive Channels (i10 to i18) correct Audio Pids selected by default
Akaal Channel (Channel 1078) (Testing)
Alex Casino channel 1079) (Testing)
Made both the Default & User channel lists identical
