Very simply questions from a newbie. Please Help!
Your answers to any or all of the following simple questions are highly appreciated:
Question 1:
Can I install a softcam (emulator) like cccam or mgcamd as a plugin on the original Enigma image that came with the Dreambox and successfully cardshare without having to install an image like Gemini or Nabilosat?
The reason I want this is because there are plugins for automatic timeshifting (permanent timeshifting) out there but they are only for Enigma OS. But I want both, a softcam and automatic timeshifting.
Question 2:
What are the differences between the original Dreambox and unoriginal Dreamboxes from other manufacturers? Do unoriginal Dreamboxes run Enigma or at least Linux? Are they identical in features? Will I be getting the complete Dreambox experience if I buy an unoriginal Dreambox?
Question 3:
In the features list of the DM 800, it says there is a single smartcard reader which is for Dreamcrypt only. It doesn't say that there is a Common-Interface Slot. My understanding is that the smartcard reader (the CAM) connects to a Common-Interface slot. Does that mean that I am able to disconnect the Dreamcrypt CAM to access the CI slot and connect an Irdeto CAM to it instead?
Question 4:
What is the maximum timeshifted time on the Dreambox DM 800 and the Dreambox DM 8000? Or is it measured by hard drive space (gigabytes) and not time?
