ok i need help to understand wat is it i need to upload to my dreambox to get finding sats and channels is it motor settings , channel settings or bouquets?

If you have set your satellites up correct, Then its just Bouquet settings is all you need

When a user downloads files from forum like this, more often than not it is for some sort of hack or mod etc and a question like yours regarding what has been downloaded would certainly make me feel uncomfortable.

I just dont want a thread to go off topic, especially when the OP's is still in need of help. And me trying to keep a thread on topic.

And if your finding it hard to see the pink, im not a md, just someone who does not want DK to become unorganised and messy like many other forums! When i first started using this site it was THE most accurate and organised forum!

download them direct to the box using the remote. the settings in the addons on the image named vanibal or c@rlton settings or something like that but make sure they have "motor" in the title.

thats the complete sat positions and channels for most stuff from east to west reeboot the box after you have dloaded them so they show up.

c@rlton settings are my personal favorite.

ok thanks yamar. just to check these are up to date? as i downloaded the captain setting on pli and every1 told me they where to old and didnt get updated anymore.

which box u using?,,, is it a 500 or 800?

Ok,,, use the nabilo darkstar2 image (by far the best imo), its the best around for the 500 and you can then download the c@rlton motor channel settings and cccam direct to the box, then you will be good to go.

i changed over to the nabilo image. that c@rlton motor channel settings didnt came up but i downloaded vhannibal motor setting. but i cant find it anywhere. should i be able to see them? or do i not see them until i scan a transponders and sats?

i done a factory resit and download and installed them again and then done a a reboot but still nothing.
i should be able to see them without my dish connected? or b4 i scan yeah?

You need to make sure you download Enigma 1 settings . youl also need to extract the settings on your pc and then use a programm called Dreamboxedit to send them to your dreambox. Try these settings they should work fine on your dm500.
