Dreambox 500s NOVICE

Beginner on this system. Dont even know how to load and what image to use in my db 500s.Please help and thankx in advance

Thanks Master Wilf, as you said i need schooling. I've done some assignment.I managed to download dreamup,dreamboxedit and dcc.My next question is,I am trying to load gemini image using dreamup is that enough or do ineed to load more images?How many images do i have to load in my db?

you only need 1 image in your box...alot of members don't like the gemini image as it can knacker your box best go for dk 1.1 image

or you could use pli image or nabilosat image

I don't mean to hijack the thread but can I ask if the DK 1.1 image for the 500C will work on the 500S? I have a C working on cable but now want to get my sat box working to see what, if any, services I can get.
Based in Ireland... what channels can I expect?

Not really much out there mate, Mostly free to air. looking at 42e to 30w with a dm 7000s. Dont for get to load latest K*ys. Use Antr_g latest. You gan get an image with everything installed if you are not up to ftp,,,ing.
