DREAMBOX dm500s problem flash

People who have used the null modem cables with an USB connector at one end have had issues with the drivers. I would definitely use one without a USB connector. The latest Open Pli images do not work on clones so best to stick with Pli Jade 3 image if you have a clone.

Curious123, i have the same problem (as below) repeatedly,.. do you have the OLD "Pli Jade 3 image" for Singapore, i am on clone box DM500C from China Anandasy,... please help, thanks

error resetting lockbits

i had similar problem with gen box
i connected box to network switched off
connected usb to pc and installed drivers
installed dream up
com4 on my system
started dream up powered dreambox on
dream up connected to dreambox
check dhpc server for dhcp address of dream box
logged in via web interface and uploaded new image
worked 1st time after many failed attempts using just dreamup

while where on the subject of flashing can someone tell me which is the best image for a 500s im using pli jade at the moment witch im told is the safest thanks

I've used flashwizard to flash a pli image (through lan cause my current computer does't have serial port)) and the process stuck forever at 83%. After shutdown and restart the dreambox won't start - just shows the green led. Can I fix it by using dreamup? Any help appreciated

I use Keyspan Driver for USA-19HS, It has never failed me. I have worked with other adapters and most are hit and miss.
Yes it works great with Win 7.
