problem with uploading image

after turning off dreambox500hd, has error message after loading enigma with crash log. How can I fix and with which program to upload which version of image of enigma?

Try the oldest version of Dreamup you can find and flash this to your box. After flashing the erase image you then need to flash your image of choice.

having the same issue,i flash erased with dreamup.then i flashed with erase file image given a few pages back,but when i try then to flash with a image of my choice i get the same error as everybody else,I want to put commamdo 14.6 on my box,but i get error message,so i cant install it.why is this? Any way around it?

Not much of an explanation of your problem m8, be more specific. Try another remote or reflashing a new image.

If you see a DreamUp message like "found no valid JFFS2 in image" then it means you're flashing an image like Commando 14.6 that has had the /var_init folder in the root SquashFS partition surgically removed to save space in /var

Don't press the <Flash erase> button, just press <Flash>

After running this exe program, it tries to connect to the internet - only my firewall stopped it?
If its a proper patch (with nothing hidden), it should have no reason to connect to the internet - sameway dreamup works without needing an internet connection?

I might be a newbie here, but I'm sure as hell not 'wet behind the ears' and have to ask the question WHY it wants to connect?!
Such programs make me damn suspicious.
