Stuttering of media playback with non-FTA

    Hi Guys

Got a genuine DM800HD with a Sammy 500 GB HDD. It's setup with Blackhole v0.12 and has been pretty stable for a year or so.

I can't tell if it's a new problem as I try to watch most of my sports stuff LIVE however I have noticed that non-FTA programs I have recorded stutter and pixelate every 3-5 seconds. It doesn't happen with FTA. i.e. BBC is fine.

Last night I watched and recorded ITV4 HD for the footie (ITV4HD is not FTA over FreeSat). My actual LIVE viewing experience was as good as I would expect, but when I went to watch the recorded version to catch some goals I'd missed, the video stuttered every few seconds. I have seen this before with Formula 1 (not on BBC) but on those occasions just waited for the Beeb highlights.

The HDD is only about 15% used and has never really been sweated so I can't imagine its a lack of contiguous blocks.

Can anyone suggest what I should look at?

    Cheers
