    Genuine DM800 help please

    Hi,

    I have a genuine Dreambox DM800HD currently running Black Hole 0.12 for the last couple of years.

    The trouble is I keep getting the "Sorry, Connection Failed" when trying to update C*ms, settings, plugins etc. - I assume this to be the image as my network is OK.

    Here's a few questions for you guys:

    Seeing as BH 0.12 is a little long in the tooth now - which is the best stable image to use? (excluding PLi - I don't like it)

    How do I find what bootloader & Sim I have?

      stick TSpanel on it or get the cam,s in ipk/tgz format and install them yourself via ftp/remote. you can find out what sim/ssl you are running on the oled at boot up,regards mdt

          Hi mate,

          Ive tried putting TSpanel on but doesnt show up in plugins. I've rebooted E2 and still no joy - any ideas?

              Don't think tspanel is compatible with that old image, also if you got a genuine Dm like you say then why would you need to worry bout sim and b-l ?

                  Watch lcd on box screen while booting it tells you ssl84b etc sim201 etc

                      Just worried in case I screw something up, that's all. Are you saying any would work with my sim and bl? Is there a newer version of nabilo black hole? I had this one for a few years and is been rock solid.

                          put the latest open pli image on the box and all the rest can be added from the plugins menu
                          dm500hd -dm500hd v2-vu+duo- triax 1.1m - inverto lnb - technomate 2300 motor- linksys ddwrt router

                              If it's genuine Dm as you say, you can't use sim2 or Ferrari images, you need to flash a genuine dream multimedia image mate

                                  its deffo a genuine model. bootloader 75. ive tried flashing it both by browser and patched dreamup but getting little feedback. tried using null cable on its own but fails (after unticking network box) tied with network but hangs at checksum test. tried older versions of browser & no joy any ideas guys?
