Hi there just wondering if anyone can give me any advice.i have a technomate 5300 usb and yesterday when changing sateliites i lost all signal and everything is showing in the red quality and level. But when i go from 30 west to 42 east the picture comes ons for a few seconds showing signal green and 90 percent then drops to red and then goes off. I was told that the motor had lost long and lat. And to go to menu then motorised setting then motor control and then go to reference. This has worked for me in the past but this time it stays in the red. I kept on trying the motor control and eventually got about 78 level and 58 quality so i was able to get a picture again but as soon as i moved sats all was lost again. and had to try for hours again to get level and quality up out of the red. Anyhow im now stuck on 39 east afraid to move it again incase i lose all and not be able to recover any picture. Any help would be much appreciated many thanks

are you using usals or diseqc 1.2??.. drive your dish to zero then select thor/intelsat then ok/go-to if using usals and if not select a active tp, say 12.606v.27500.3/4 and ajust your dish west in small steps to peak the sq reading. if the problem persists and you have checked your cable/connections and re-set your motor (at the dish) then you could try a fresh install, factory reset,re-load patch, softcam, channel list ect to see if it helps. regards mdtDM800HDSE SIM 2.10. Back again. My problem now is every time i turn the power off on the reciever it seems to loss track of the arc and i have no signal. I then have to spend about half an hour messing about with doing motor control go to ref and changing long and lat slightly then motor fine to get a signal. Has anyone had this problem before or knows why it would be doing this???? Im now afraid to turn the reciever off incase i can,t get any signal back and my wife has a real fetish about turning all electrical equipment off at night. Any advice greatly appreciatedComment

If you change your lat too much you will lose signal on the outer sats you can change it by 20 degrees on 1W and not alter the signal but then you will recieve nothing on say 39E minor lat changes will have little effect its best to leave the lat setting alone.
have you tried doing a hardware re-set at the motor itself then in "motorised settings">motor control>goto reference>exit>position setting (put your correct lat/long in here)>exit>exit.make sure you have usals on the diseqc motor line and as the box is already set up exit to full screen then choose 1w on the sat menu>ok and bbc world 11.862 H 28000 as a channel, once motor has stopped go outside and slacken the motor/dish assembly just enough to move L/R to tune it in.if this does not work it sounds like there is a fault in either the connections/the stb/the motor.
to do a motor hard ware re-set send the motor via the manual button on it to "0" 1st, then press the reset button, you need a thin rod usually to probe a small hole in the case.the box needs to be on.Comment

Latitude: 54.4207?
Longitude: -6.4438?
This is your correct location, here is where to find it Satellite Finder / Dish Pointing Calculator with Google Maps | DishPointer.com

yes mate in the TM enter 06.4 W for long and 54.4 for lat the lat should be the same as set on your motor and will not need moving again,But the long may need adjusting in 0.2 steps either lower or higher to get max signal exit to full screen after each change to check effect.Comment
