Help with Technomate TM 500 Super

    Hi All,

    Hope someone can help.

I have a technomate tm 500 super which i've had since August last year. Over the last few days its started to play up on me with channels freezing up every few minutes. Sometimes the issue sorts itself out but other times i get a message that says channel scrambled on it.

The box is connected to the TV in the living room whilst my router (bt business hub) is in a bedroom upstairs. To connect the box to the ineternet I am using a 85mps powerline adapter. I am currently scanning to the Eurobird/astra satelitte.

Also i'm currently using a Talk Talk internet connection.

I have done a quick factory reset to see if this cures the problem but again no joy.

Really pissed off as the box cost me ?250 6 months ago.

Either reflash or try ethernet hard wired.
That receiver has never been more than ?80ish so where the ?250 came from I don't know unless you ahve bought a pre configured receiver with c line installed.
If thats what you did, then thats why is glitches!

      Hi Mate,

The reciever came with all the software pre-installed so all i had to do was plug and play. Have never attempted to falsh a box so really wouldn't have a clue where to begin. I have thought about the hard wired option but haven't teird it as yet for 2 reasons, firstly, as its a bt business hub the router can take for ever to set-up if a move it from the bedroom to the living room and secondly have thought about a long ethernet cable but not sure how to do this without unslightly cables everywhere.

        Dont flash if pre configured.
Contact seller, his cs is overloaded.
No cs discussion on here sorry.

if its glitching on premium channels and your on a card share its the server provider not your box, if it glitches on the free to air channels then it could be dish alignment or an all manner of other things. Its become more common that ex cable lads by sat equipment and dont learn the ins and outs of the box there purchasing,if you dont back up the box settings that you need before re flashing you will lose all premium channels.
I couldn't wait for success, so I went ahead without it.
