Technomate 5400CI+ fast forward/rew using PVR

Hi,

I have successfully recorded programmes onto an external hard drive from the 5400 CI+. However is there any way to fast forward them to a particular point or whilst in playback?

On the info screen it has a play > symbol with X1 next to it implying that you can have X2 or X4 or something, but I can't find a way to increase playback speed.

Ideas?

I now have a 5402 which I suppose will be similar.

On playing back the programme use the << and >> keys

Each time you press >> you double the playback speed till you get to x32 and then its back to x2.

You press play > to get normal speed again. It works on the << key as well.

I wish there was a jump forward one minute key and a jump back 30s key

if you press play a line will come up when you press the right or left button beside the ok button you can move the blue bit in the line to any point or time in the recording when you stop pressing the left or right button the recording will play from there.
