Hi,having been down the cable route and nagra 3 put an end to that I have decided to test the water with a satellite system mainly because I want more football and sport channels.At present I am looking at a Imtr motorised dish and a technomate box either a tm 600 linux enigma or a tm 5400 ci+super my question is which is the best.Also is there a list of terms used and what they mean ie.soft cam ,Lnb, disq,patches etc Thanks for any help

go for the 5402hd is a good box also for cs. (nonlinux)
tm600/500 are lacking in support from tm.
Softcam would be a keyfile of "keynumber" that would open
channels that are hacked at the moment,but not a lot there any more.
A patch would be a software stb.file where the latest hack firmware would be on to read the softcam and the latest firmware upgrade.
