tm 500 super

Hi guys i have a tm 500 d super and have been trying to update the firmware on it but to no joy! i brought a usb to com1 lead and with the help of the forum room was able to set it up to the com1 port.
But i still get the same error? so it got me thinking if i need to login in to the Technomate Control Center 7 login (config tag), the error i get is failed to connect to the 198.168.1.0 if this is the case then what is the password or am i over thing this!! Can any one point me in the right direction?

yes you do need to confiq the control centre by entering your tm ip address ,you can create a new password by deleting existing password and entering new password on the right hand side of TCC ( you will need this password if connecting to box with DCC etc )and you also need to tick update only on TCC before you can load new software
