Good morning all. i need alittle help connecting with a friends technomate 600. Now mine at home is all wireless so i just connect via miniweb, but my friend is not wireless and i have no idea how to connect to his box. Anyone got a step by step guide with which cables are needed otherwise i will have to get him to send me the box in the post so i can do it at mine thanks.

You say your pal has no wireless. I assume then he has hard wired broadband to use the TM. If he has a router connect, the TM direct to the router using a Cat5 cable and use FTP, telnet, Filezilla or Mini web to access the box. You can also use the remote and Tuxbox commander to access, edit and enter information. You can also update the firmware using the RS232 port with a null modem cable using the TM Control centre loader program. Finally you can use the USB port ~ See pages 53 & 53 of the manual.
