Hi I have just acquired a TM 3500 what do I need to download to open things up. Very new at this so be gentle please. I dont know difference between softcam, patch, loaders are they the same?

Welcome to the forum.
In a nutshell, a patch is software that allows a receiver to use, usually, a softcam. A softcam opens the desired channels on a particular satellite/package. Not much around now.
A loader is the computer / receiver interface to load patches and softcams onto the receiver.

you would find the patches in Download center and the sofcams to get you the keys for the providers that are hacked at the moment here Softcam Keys they change every so many days(sometimes weeks) so always check for latest softcam keys and you will need a dish that you can aim at 19.2e/13e/39e and a few other ones but if you have a dish just fixed at 28.2e (or sky) it will not open anythingEverything discussed on this forum is for experimental and educational purposes only.
