    RAI on TM 6800HD Super+

Apologies If I have missed this info elsewhere - I'm new to this, though I'm trying my best - honest !!!

I want to tune into RAI 1,2,3. Lyngsat tells me it is on Hotbird 6/8/9 on transponder 124, 10992 vertical, sr 27500.

I have updated my receiver to the latest software (7.41 May 27 2011).

Any number of scans, blind automatic or otherwise don't find me RAI

I'm confused because the transponder referenced by the TM at that frequency is transponder 15. And I can only see Hotbird, not Hotbird 6/8/9. If I delete TP15 and try to add TP124, the box complains.

    Any pointers gratefully received.

ps - I do manage to receive other channels when I scan hotbird, so I'm pretty sure the dish is working - I live ina block with a shared system - there are 2 dishes on theroof which I believe point to Astra 2 and Hotbird

rai news, and rai 1,2,3,4 are on 10.992 V 27500 (rai4 is encrypted) the rest FTA
    rai med,scuola are on 11.766 V 27500
    rai gulp,storia,nettuno sat1,sport 1&2(sport 1&2 encrypted) are on 11.804 V 27500.
go to menu>installation>advanced search drop to the transponder line ignore the transponder number(in brackets) and scroll through the transponders til you find the ones listed above then red button scan.do this for each transponder.if by any chance they are not listed put them in manually, green button add TP. and fill in the transponder ,symbol rate and polarity.then scan.
also quote a few channels and their TPs so we can check that you are getting 13E
Rai 4 and Rai sport 1&2 will open with latest softcam.

Thanks for the quick response - it didn't work first time, but your question about "what channels do you get / are you getting 13E" prompted me to check I really was getting Hotbird. I played around with the DiscEq settings and now get a much stronger signal and when I scan I get RAI - hoorah.

I need to go back and set up Astra 2 again now, but think I'm stumbling in the right direction - many thanks for the help. I'd have done it already, but now the wife can get TV from home I've lost control of the TV......

      Many thanks again.

Hi. Remember if you dont get channels always check that you are on the correct satellite, frequency and signal strength via INSTALLATION menu. Believe you me it happens to everyone. Take care.
