    Technomate 6900 super HD reset

s it possible to update the receiver without having to do a factory reset as it advises in the handbook. I looked at Technomates website for info but it says nothing. It seems to me that would wipe all my favourites etc. I'm new to this so I may be wrong!

I dont bother doing factory resets on my TM6800HD when I change patches(alot I might add) and I"v never had problems.

if you are planing on using cccam you will have to do factory reset but if you upload your channellist to your usb device
all your favorites will be on this and after factory reset you can just load this back into your tm this would be your cndf file
i always do factory resets between loading patches
cause the few times i did not do this it gave me lots of trouble
but i know some people never do it and never have problems .
        I always advice
1)back up channel list(press red button in transfer data menu)
2)factory reset(in the system settings menu>factory reset menu >do a full factory reset)
3)load latest original technomate firmware(found on technomate.uk downloadsection)
        4)factory reset
5)load latest patch found here Technomate software online
5.5) load latest addon for c.s.found here 3_ADDON_002p.stb
        6)factory reset
7)put back channellist(ok on your cndf file and ok on normal default ) and rescan all channels in use(after this you could put on latest softcams)
if you don't follow this you might get stuck with bugs/problems
I have very little problems after following this procedure
