hello i recently bought a usb to rs232 cable because my laptop hasnt got rs232 port, when i use the cable to transfer a patch to my receiver and i click start on the magic patch loader it says transfering but the bar doesnt fill up it just says transfering and nothings happening please someone help because im getting really furstrated what am i doing wrong?

its probably because the usb to rs232 cable isnt setup properly (as far as I know you need to install a driver for it on the laptop) but youll have to wait til someone thats used one of them reads this thread. -
thanks alot mate i think i havint set it up properly cause a disc came with the cable but my laptop hasnt got a disc tray so i just pluged it in anyways
im a thicko wen it comes to computers

You should be able to get the driver you need from here. Plug your cable into your laptop then connect to the site. Download may start auto. if not manually download.
