    TM5402HD problem

    Hi All,
Can anyone plese tell me what I am doing wrong. I cannot get my TM5402hd to connect to a server. I have loaded phantonpatch '(all 115p 8-11-2011) and ( 3 addon 002.stb) on the box. I have entered user name, password, dyndns and port num correctly and pressed red button to connect but nothing changes. Its very similar to the opticum process which I have had no probs with. I can also 'ping' the TM and have confirmed that it received an ip address from my router. I must be doing something silly. Please help before I have no hair left.

    Philly.

are you sure that you put in line by this guide
    example c-line C: www.c-line.no-ip 22000 FOX1234 test2 no

break the c-line up in 4 pieces at the spaces between the wurds and numbers
do not put this in the tm because it will not get connected
    allways miss this > C: > no
example, they like(goto your server menu press 8281 while watching a channel and enter your pin default"0000")

    Protocol CCCAM

    Timeout: 3Sec

    3) ID: FOX1234

    4) Password: test2

    1) Address: www.c-line.no-ip

    2) PORT: 22000
port will never have letters in it
and what kind of line is it c,n,f-line

      Thanks for your response.
I did not realise that it is required to use the www. in the address. I never had to use it when setting up a dreambox or a TM500 super. I will let u knoe hot it goes.

if you have the ip adress of the server you can enter this insted
just make sure you don't enter c: into the tm cause it will not connect

          Hi thijs,
          Success at last.
I used a usb stick to edit and upload the details to the box. I found it not only faster but I can see mistakes and correct them more easily.
Thanks a lot for your help.
P.S. Is this box secure if it fell into the wrong hands. Can I lock it up securely. If someone presses the sat button with a memory stick inserted they could read your port details etc on a PC.
          Philly.

Change the password on the box instead of the usual 0000 needed to access everything

when you go into system information press "2004"
this will turn of patch for softcams and pressing "8281"will have no effect but your lines will still connect if you want to turn it back on do the same.
and yes editting with the usb file on pc is easier cause you can just copy and paste less chance of error

                Thanks Digicom,
If I change the password then I guess the owner cannot get into the setup menu ???. If this is correct he will not be able to re scan etc in the future which will be no good. I just need to lock up the cccam info from being transfered to a stick.

                  TN5402hd channel plan

                  Hi,
Anyone have a channel plan for 28oE that I can use on a TM5402HD. As this is a one off set for a friend its a pain sorting it out manually. Also what tool will I use to carry out the operation.

Here you go but you will have to change the local BBC1 etc.

                              Hi thijs,
Yes that works. Left access to installation menu etc open and set ch install option off. Also used 2004 option which hides server details and upload to stick facility. Now that I have all setup on the TM5402 I will probably never see one again.
                              Thanks again.
