tm500 super internet connection

Hi all i am trying to sort this box out for a friend, she bought the box with a 12 month cline, all was working fine and to be honest i do not know what has been done to the box or if anyone has changed anything.

i have a DM800 myself and so i tried to connect to the box using DCC (i used to have a tm9100 super and used to communicate with the box like this). to see if i could enter my cline into the cccam.cfg to watch the game, only to find the box must have a password as i tried blank and others but to not avail.

when i type the http://192.168.1.3:15001 into the web browser it shows the clines but with 0 C***d's connected.

i know from today that when my DM800 has no internet it can still talk to the server page via the adddress above but will show 0 C***d's which i did not think would be the case.

my question is, is there a way to check if the box is talking to my router properly to give it an internet connection and not just an IP address.

or can i someway manage to enter a new cline with out knowing the password, she does not really want me to flash the box as it should be good for 12 months especiially if the box is just not getting an internet connection.

Any help would be appreciated.

odds are your mates probably been ripped off and the line has been switched off. regards mdt

you are probably 100% correct mate, but before she makes the descision to reflash as box is password protected, can i categorical prove that it is just not a case of the box not getting internet.

i had a similar problem, i found the best way was to make a back up of the box using DCC or a copy of the cline they issued you with on the ccam.cfg file i copied and pasted into notepad etc. so basically you can do full resets of the box or flash and you know your not going to lose the info and can always start from new. I found out that the original cline i had was on 10month not 12 month like the shop sold it when took the box to shop they said that they were new owners and that they would fix/ repair with another 12month cline.
