What am I doing wrong?

Help please I have just saved the latest Technomate soft key to my magic stick... I then placed the removable stick into the unit and selected data transfer... I then press the green upload key..which installs a 20090219-141340 number in the file list I then press ok.. I then get a window saying.. key update successfully complete. after pressing exit 4 times I return to the start and still updates dont work

What technomate you got . I've got the 5400 and the yellow button is KEY upload the green is for channel list. Check again m8.

Thanks for being there.... I am operating a technomate 69 hd combo.. It has a red button as well as the yellow and green button ..when I press the yellow button it gives (/volume0) highlighted no Tm details

loading any file on the tm 6900 with a memory stick
you dont click any of coloured buttons you do it this way
and it's the same for loading patches official software softcams or chn lists
first you take the file from the folder >transfer it to the memory stick
then put the stick in the receiver usb port then on the remote click the
usb button on the remote>go to data transfer>click.ok
now you see a small panel with the file your loading on the receiver
you just click>ok again and the file will load just follow the on screen info
[the box will re-boot after loading the patch]
[ but not after it loads a softcam] you remove the stick> the chns will open
the coulour buttons are used to upload from the receiver to save on your
computer to save and use if you need to factory re-set your receiver
