Connect to the main TV in case there is a problem with your connections further on. If you can get a signal on the main TV then there is nothing wrong with the 5402 and the problem lies elsewhere.Comment

Hi. A bloke that i installed a TM5400 and motor a couple of years ago phoned me in April as he was having similar problems. He had the TM5400 connected to 3 tv's ie a main tv(digital one) and two analogue tv,s one in kitchen and one in bedroom. When analogue got switched off in April he lost the signals to the two analogue tv's. He bought himself two new LG 22 inches tv to replace the analogue ones. All he did was swapped the co-ax aerial leads from the old tv's to the new ones. He managed to tune in the digital channels(ie FREEVIEW) but was unable to tune in the TM5400 signal. So he asked me to sort it.
out for him. I dont know if you have a similar setup but he had one those cable splitter boxes under the floorboards, i dont know what you call them,. This box had two cables going in ie tv aerial cable and cable from the TM5400. Then he had two cables coming out to connect to the aerial sockets of the spare tv's. When i first tried to tune in the TM5400 i was having no luck. By chance i noticed that in the tuning menu there was an option to tune in Analogue signals. So i took this option and the TM5400 signal appeared. The man was overjoyed and he could watch satellite channels in kitchen and bedroom again. So as already mentioned try to tune in your spare tv using analogue tuning and hopefully it should work. For your info the TM5400 settings for RF TYPE was PAL I and RF CHANNEL was set to 40. Hope this helps you.
Take care.Comment

Thanks eveyone for trying to help - but still no success:
1) My TV has no digital freeview on it - only analogue.
2) I havre tried the sky fr channel (and every other one)
3) I have tried linking the technomate to the main tv - that seams to be ok,
Don't know what else to do.Comment

did you use the same cable to the main box that you used for the secondary? the TM must be ok if it works fine on the main TV.Thanks eveyone for trying to help - but still no success:

Hi. You dont need digtital tv - analogue is fine. I have just tested two analogue tv's with the TM5400 and both work fine. Thanks eveyone for trying to help - but still no success:

Your analogue tv should also work. You need tv co-ax cable and NOT satellite cable. You connect one end in TM5402 RF OUT socket and one end you connect to tv aerial socket. Put tv on any channel number ie 1. Then do a tuning and it should pick up the signal from TM5402. If you want to make sure that your analogue tv is working properly just connect the TM5402 to the tv with a scart lead and put tv on AV1 or AV2 - you should get a picture . If you dont get a picture then we are all stuck. If TM5402 works on digital tv it should also work on analogue tv. Remember USE the correct cable.
Regards.
