    Tm 5402 Best phantompatch?

Anyone recommend the best version of Phantompatch for this receiver, I'm currently on 1.20 which I find works well except for the No or bad signal message that I often get while switching channels. This message only appears for about 2 seconds or so and its only on certain channels when I go to view them for the first time after switching on the receiver, if I go back to the channels they are then fine. I guess it aint a major deal, but can be annoying at times.

This is obviously a software issue as the receiver didn't always behave like this, can't be certain as to which version software that it actually started with.

    Thanks all.

The no signal thing is just a common niggle that we 5402 owners have to accept. It's a small price to pay for an otherwise excellent box. I get the same thing no matter what patch I use and as you say it's only when first viewing a channel after installing a new list.

Ah right, thanks for that. Yeah, I have to agree it is an excellent receiver besides that.

Well YouTube isnt something I use that often anyway, I might go back to that again and see how it behaves, mind you, I think there may be an issue with mp4's files on anything beneath 1.20

I know on previous versions while playing mp4's I was having issues with the audio dropping off during the film/tv show but since updating to 1.20 they are fine again.

Can't say I have noticed any significant difference, I was on 120 and changed back to 117 to rule out software for some epg issues I was having. I haven't installed a new channel list since changing but my other findings seem to have ruled out software anyway but time will tell

that's true too mp4's files playing perfect on patch 120 and you don't have to change the audio level anymore to high on the media player
