Hi steve. To set up the sats in your box for your motor to go looking for them you need to do the following, i have a TM5400 so i assume the procedure is the same for your 1500.
1) Go into INSTALLATION - SATELLITE SETUP. Press Ok and it should display a list of all the satellites. You may find some satellites have a tick next to them, this means they have already been saved and added to your motor menu. To add more satellites to your motor menu just select a satellite and press yellow to save. You will see a tick against each satellite selected. This means that every satellite ticked has an entry in motor menu.
2) Your 80cm dish should be able to pick up the following satellites in my opinion:
4.8, 7, 9/10, 13, 19.2, 23.5, 28.2, 36, 39, 42, 45 EAST.
1, 5, 8, 12.5, 30 WEST.
3) Remember try and use USALS to look for the satellites as this is an automatic search. You must set it up correctly on the first satellite and then USALS will know where the others are. Make sure you have correct TP's(frequencies) for each satellite otherwise you will not pick up the signals.
4) If using Diseqc 1.2 instead of USALS it can be more complicated as you will need to manually find the satellites and store each postion as you go along.
Hope this makes sense - take it from me it is very simple to motorize a dish it just takes time. If you require further advice let us know.

anyone know if i was on 10e with that channel? as for usals etc i had it set up with usals when first installed 5 years ago but had problems from the start no signal etc and when i get re-motorised last month the sat engineer said the motor has a bit play on it so that explained it,it still misses sats now but i know just to keep trying and it does find the sat after a couple of attempts. i have got 39 east,28/19.2/16/13/7/5 1west and 30 west in my satellite list via the sat button on remote and others via the menu like 10 east etc,its mainly just sport i'm looking for i noticed lj's had boxing fta on 7.3 west last night i think it was aljazeera but i dont know which sats i could pick up 26 east also listed as well.Comment

The TP you mentioned is the tandberg feed so yes you where on 10 east, But as mdt mentioned the chelsea tv channel is on a DVB-S2 transponder along with PLTV HD so as far as receiving that you would need a HD receiver.
Your 80cm for reception of 7.0 west is a little too small for your location, for reliable reception of 7.0 west you should be looking at something along the lines of a 1m dish minimum.
