    Tm 5402 problem?

Just wondering of anyone else has come across a problem with the TM-5402 where the box just pauses on a channel and locks up, nothing works until the boxes is switched off and on at the mains.

I'm using 1.20 firmware on it and don't ever recall this happening on previous software versions. A mate of mine has the same box and that also has 1.20 on it and it has happened to his box at-least 4 times in the last month, that how long he has his.

could be absolutely anything causing the lockup but as you specified this did not happen on previous firmwares options would be to either downgrade or upgrade to the latest

Yeah, I wouldn't be a 100% certain that it wasn't happening on previous versions, but all I know is I have this box since last sept and I've only noticed this happening the odd time in the last few weeks. I'll probably downgrade to 1.17 and leave it on that for a bit and see how it behaves. As far as I know, 1.20 is the most up to date firmware.

Edit: actually just seen there is a test software version of 1.23 out now, must check out the version and see how it runs for a few days.

Not that I'm aware of, could be one explanation alright, my server is pretty bang on and never gives me any issues normally. When the box restarted it connected to the server straight away.

Mines was the same mate (connected straight back up) but I'd had warning from the server before hand things might get a bit silly for a couple of hours.
