tm5402 hd - how to play an MKV file?

Is is possible to play an MKV file on a USB2 stick connected to the TM5402HD? I've seen a number of references on the web that suggest that this should work but (a) my receiver is not seeing the MKV file through "Filelist" and (b) Technomate technical support tell me that playback of avi and mkv files is not supported. Is there a fix to enable mkv files to be played on the 5402HD?

Thanks. I was using patch 115. Earlier toady I installed patch 123. Cannot play the mkv file with either of these patches.

As mentioned already, it should see them on 1.20, also, mp4's seem to play perfect on 1.20 too,

Thanks. I've just tried 120 and it still cannot find the mkv file to play under "filelist".

no they don't show in your filelist you press the f2 button this should bring up your media player from here you pick the movie you want to play from the usb
the filelist would only show the recorded tm files

Success! I had not realised that I should use the f2 button. Thanks for your help.
