new technomate 5402 from tm5400

Hi all, I need some advice on sorting my new box please, it has been a while since I set up my system and I don't want mess with it. Well at the moment I have a technomate 5400 connected to a 1m dish motorized system with usals. Today is arrived my new technomate 5402 so I would like to swap them over, so please can someone point me in the right direction? many thanks

Basically the same receiver apart from the HD bit the menus are still the same so all you have to do is copy your USALS co-ordinates from the menu and enter these into the 5402. As for the channels i would say copy over the ones from the 5400 but you wont have the HD so you would still have to manually scan the satellites you can receive to pick up the HD channels as well.

To get you started one of the forum members upped his own list from his box for others to share, but for the life of me i cant find his thread so here it is but all credit to the original poster for this list.

Ok thank you, I am not sure on one thing: do I leave the dish pointing to a satellite(like hotbird or astra) or send it to reference ( 0degree ) before doing the swap?

If using usals wont matter.
If worried do all the above Digicon says but, leave on 28e and dont fit coax cable until all is loaded then send to 28e.
Turn of, Connect coax back up and turn on and all is ok.

Quick question , with the latest patchcan I open sport digital tv on 19.2e? Seem not to clear, it does clear a few other channels like mtv, but not this one. any idea

I am having problems with bulsat 39e none open, and canal digitaal at 19.2e. The patch you recommendd surely haven't the latest keys?Am I wrong?

You need to load softcam after loading any patch.

Ok, completely forgot to load softcam, now canal digitaal is ok, but bulsat doesn't clear at all. Any idea? thanks for your help

you can create your own softcam.key file with Technomate maker 1.5 no need to wait for anyone to upload the softcam keys for you.

I managed to use the softcam creator, I didn't know that software was avilable, very good. The only thing that the softcam creator doesn t is opening the following channels that I sometime watch:
RSI LA1, RSI LA2, RTS UN, RTS DEUX, RSI LA1 HD, RSI LA2 HD. Please how can I add those to the softcam file that has been created with creator?Many thanks
