sorry for all the questions ,
ive downloaded latest patch to my technomate 5400 cl usb and all the channels are still scrambled , what should i be able to watch , im only really bothered about the football if i can get it , got a motorised system with 90cm dish

plenty football on thor 1w with digi-tv
have you loaded the latest softcam after the patch?
also if your receiver menu has a options section turn
the dig-tv A/U to the off setting

i have loaded patch and soft keys but still nothing also in thor where do i find digi-tv ive done scans but only get digi-tv info but thats it (tm5400 cl ) if thats any use to you

on thor 1w a scan should find about 300 plus chns
has you scan found a lot of channels ? if it has then
look for a channel called nova sport and see if that opens

ive just done another scan on thor 1w and i only get 150 channels and there is no nova sport
ive noticed people saying that thor is at 0.008w should i move my dish to that point and do a scan ,has ive said before its mainly only the football that i want

just to check im doing this right , ive downloded the patch then dat transfer to stb via usb then transfered softkeys by pressing yellow button for key upload and still all channels scrambled with this patch can you give me a channel that should open so i can check thanx in advance

now i know why the channels wont open.
when loading anything onto the receiver you
dont press any of the [coloured buttons]
you download the softcam from the forum
and open the folder and take the softcam out
and transfer the softcam onto your memory stick
put the memory stick in the usb port in the receiver
then turn on and next press the green button and go
to data transfer and click ok you will now see the file panel
with the softcam on it> now you just click>ok again
and the softcam will load, [DO NOT PRESS ANY COLOURED BUTTON]
when loaded remove your memory stick and the channels will open

do you have any of these chns
hallmark chns
private spice
discovery chns
animal planet
hbo film chns
digi film 1 and 2 chns
cartoon network
turner classic movies
and there are about
12 sports channels
if you dont have these chns. you need to
check that your on thor 1w satellite

yes ive got all those channels apart from digitv and nova sport ,i am only getting 150 channels if i need to adjust my dish what do i need to do /

this mite sound stupid but when i download the patch and unzip what should it lok like on my pc because it says it cant be view cos windows does not know what file created it so could this be my problem ? if so what file created it if you know

good afternoon ? mr gibbo74 this looks like the classis case of tring to download files with windows, try mozilla firefox instead it will knot corrupt the file. good luck rixton.

first i take it you have the channels i posted scaned and you
have a strong signal from them? now for the patch
you dont open the patch file you just take it out of the folder
and transfer it on to the memory stick.
on my computer which is vista i see the file as a white square
this is how to load the patch

this is how you load tm 5000 series patches etc:
via a memory stick first you download the correct software,patch etc:
then open the zipped folder and take the file out
[you must make sure the file is out of the folder]
before you transfer the file to the memory stick, for loading on the receiver.
next to load the patch onto the receiver you put the receiver on a free to air chn then put memory stick in tm5000, USB port. and turn the receiver on next you press the green button on tm 5000 remote,next it goes to data transfer> click>ok you will now see a small file panel with the patch,highlighted then you press>ok again, and it will now download, you will see green loading bar when complete the receiver
will re-boot turn off and on again,then press exit. and remove the memory stick, change channels and the channels should open.you might have to load the latest tm softcam if the chns dont open. you load the softcam in exactly the same way

If your struggling for signal then whilst on 2 channel press the blue button and i little window should open use that and peak your signal and save it but for the saved position to work you will need to be using diseqc1.2 not usals..
