the patch opens very little on 16e
and any digialb you can see are on free to air
the patch opens the most on thor 1w go to
this satellite and see if the chns open
did you load the softcam this way
open the zipped folder and take the softcam file out
[you must make sure the file is out of the folder]
before you transfer the file to the memory stick, for loading on the receiver.
next to load the softcam onto the receiver you then put memory stick in tm5000, USB port. and turn the receiver on next you press the green button on tm 5000 remote, next it goes to data transfer> click>ok you will now see a small file panel with the patch, highlighted then you just press>ok again,
and it will now download, you will see green loading bar when completely
loaded remove the memory stick and your chns should open
[do not press any of the coloured buttons when downloading the patches
or softcams on the receiver] this is a common mistake you only use the
        coloured buttons when up loading.

              ************************************************** ***
when you take the file from the zipped folder [the white square]
you dont open the file you just transfer it on to the memory stick
and load it on your receiver the way i said
              **************************************
first take a look in the receiver menu to check if the patch has loaded turn your receiver on and on the remote press menu> and go to system information>and click >ok on the second line s/w version what does it say ?
and give me a pm about your erea i will try to help you
