which channels should i be able to watch?

After a week of trying i have now got my box up and running thanks to Benny/9
ive got the latest patch and softkeys i can watch digi films etc ,i have got 1 nova sport channel on thor ,should there be more , ive got lots of nova sport channels on hotbird but they are scrambled ,what do i need to be doing to get the extra channels ?

you should find about 150 channels open with the patch
with digi-tv on thor1w channels like discovery, animal planet,
hallmark. hbo film chns, private spice [adult] about 12 sports chns cartoon chns etc: all these channels are in nagravision encryption the patch wont open the conax chns. if your system is motorised the patch open some channels on sirus 4.8e for extra chns on thor 1w and astra 19e you would need a diablo cam and a programmer but these items cost as much as the receiver and with all that we get for free there are no gaurantees as to how long we will keep getting the chns open, and you might want to check things out before
spending anouther ?100 or so. as for the nova chns on hotbird 13e at this time you need a gamma card and of course the cas programmer to get these chns open, this is why i said hang fire and check before you buy, because
there is a lot of rumours that now the diablo cam has opened the irdeto encryption the nova channels could soon open with the cam, but it's a wait and see before you spend,by hanging fire a short time you could save yourself a lot of cash,

thanx for that Benny on saturday i manged to watch the blackburn game on supersport on 16e but now it wont open, which channels can i watch the 3pm match with this patch and yes ive got a motorised dish

you will find english prem league on nova sport on digi-tv 1w
we used to open digialb on 16e with the diablo cam but they
changed the cas from cas 5 to cas7 and unless a fix is found
we cant get digialb open

You watched the blackburn game during a fta period.. You will now have to goto nova sport cz on 1west for football and use liveonsat.com

depending on your dish size there are a few channels including
megasport that open on amos 4w
plus a few chns on hispasat 30w
and the rai chns plus a few others on hotbird 13e
plus odd channels on other sats and if you have
a hd receiver there are channels on 23e again dish size
can be a problem to get a good signal

Just looked and scanned 23E but no HD channels open. Are they still available with the patch? Seem to have a good signal with my 90cm dish.

some free to air

Just thought I`d let you know that there are about half a doz good free to air channels on 26 deg east........all named mbc
(2,3,4,action,max,persia) these have eng lang films etc and dont need softcam, patch.
but again depends on dish size......I get great signal with meter dish.....dish needs to be spot on the satellite arc though.
