what improvement with new patch?

Hi when a new patch is produced what are the usual improvements? do they allow more to be opened with softcam?
the reason for the question is ,i have a tm5200 and on it is version 1.49dated oct 2010 after updating with latest keys i now have a few chans opening ,if i updated to latest patch would it open any more ?
will the latest patch be an improvement ?
sorry if question is a bit obvious to some of you,
bit im new to tm ,im more used to cccam and openbox
but fed up with stuttering sea lions im not expecting to be able to open 28 deg ,can 30w or 1w open anything?

Dont think there is much on 30W or 1W.

The usual one open is at 39 east (Bulsat) & maybe a few on 23.5 east.

If you are opening the channels that the softcam says you should open, then your patch will be fine as it is.

If you want to stick with Openbox way of things, then look to maybe get a dreambox instead, a clone will done fine, the 800se is a good one, then you could possibly get your own card & start doing it that way, you will get better sea lions back, rather than paying someone which i suspect you do at the moment, but we can't talk much about that on here, google is your best bet to look further into this area.

Hi. It also depends on your type of set up ie motorized and what size dish you have. I just noticed that the TRICOLOR package (whatever that is) using DRECRYPT has been opened on 36 east. Dont know if able to get these channels in London. I will look for them tomorrow when i am back home.

heres the latest patch for your model but you dont state if its a super or not or the latest m2 version so ive included all 3 but make 100% certain what type your box is before uploading the file to your box.... then check these channels on 39e/23.5e/19.2e/16e/13e and 4.8e. also check out all the b.i.s.s. keys as there are alot in mpeg2/dvbs which you can use on your box. regards mdt

my box is tm5200-m2-d-usb-super
so should i go for the m2 patch?
also softcam key lists are available for other chans
can these be entered manually to the tm
as long as you know the caid ,sid, ecm pid,and key?
or can only the chans on the list be opened?
