    switch box

Hi I have a fixed dish with a cable run to a bedroom and have recently had a motorised system installed with a spare connection on the lnb is it possible to do another cable run from this to the bedroom and have some sort of switching unit behind the sat box, skybox f5, so I can select what dish I want to view?

You can use a diseqc switch but I don't know if it would interfere with the diseqc motor or works with your skybox.

You could use a manual one.. http://www.pulsat.com/products/Manua...DB-Switch.html

Thanks for the speedy reply joetwizzy, my motorised dish is connected via a stab motor to a tm5402 which will control the dish and the spare lnb connection will just be a passive one to the bedroom which I was hoping to be able to connect to a simple box 2 ins 1 out to my skybox f5 which I could then flick a switch to select what signal is received, new to all this so still finding my feet

Cheeky barstool, yes it can be done most would say its best to insert the diseqc switch after the motor just in case as some switches can burn out with voltage for the motor going through.
