I tried today to have a USB HD in and record what I was watching on it. The manual only says go to technomate and download the PVR software and instructions, but for the life of me, I can't find either anywhere on their website. Is there anything special you have to do to get it to work?

hi m8 try this first go to technomate website download latest firmware update install it on usb stick u should then be able to record also download latest softcam from the sticky on this website cheers. -
To install lastet softcam you will need a patch installed

yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I haven't re-installed an official patch since I've put the 'patched' patch on, if you know what I mean and I think that's what the problem is. I've a suspicion that the unofficial patch takes away / messes up some functionality and I think this is one of them.Comment
