    TM600

Just noticed, what appears to be new Technomate Linux receivers with several suppliers.

TM600 and TM500 - both seemingly similar to the dreambox 500 and 600 but both considerably cheaper.

Anyone know if thats the case? Thinking of swapping over my Eagle box to the TM600 (to get a half decent PVR), but concerned its not even (seemingly) acknowledged yet!

    Cheers

All good copying the dreambox originals. At the end of the day all thats different is the casing.

But if the price is competitive then fair play to them.

Lets see when people start buying them what the reviews are like.

Looks quite good though but the prices are a bit scary in the sense that they may be cutting corners with cheap components.

Whilst looking for the info, I found details on another forum, that showed the RRP was going to ?89 for the TM600 (from what looked like a press release.)

Completely agree with what you're getting at, but I'd be a little surprised if Technomate would tar their name by doing that. If they don't it sounds like a sure fire winner!

Agreed. Prob buy the 600 and see how long it lasts when i flash it 10 times a day.

If they can supply what they're offering then they're gonna make a mint.

I have the tm600 and it's it gate copy I think. Works excellent. PVR good. Picture excellent and rf out as well. Also unlike 500 clones volume control is very good as well.

The 600 has rf out and is pvr as well as extra connections on the back. The 500 has rf but no pvr etc. It's a great box
