Technomate Hard Drive - issue with PC not seeing drive when plugged into it

Hi All,


I have an issue with my Technomate Hard Drive.

This might be an issue with all players with a Hard Drive - basically i take out the drive, plug into a 3.5 inch enclosure.

Then plug into the PC via a [COLOR=#30a5f0 !important][COLOR=#30a5f0 !important]USB[/COLOR][/COLOR].

The PC does not see the drive.

I go into [COLOR=#30a5f0 !important][COLOR=#30a5f0 !important]My [COLOR=#30a5f0 !important]Computer[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR] and then into Manage but still cannot see the drive.

I am thinking the drive is formatted in some way that the PC cannot see it.

It is a 500 gig [COLOR=#30a5f0 !important][COLOR=#30A5F0 ! important]hard [COLOR=#30A5F0 ! important]drive[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR] with programmes i have copied off the TV - it is full so i wanted to copy to another drive then save new TV shows etc.

probably in a linux format like ext2 or ext3 you might be able to get a utility to read them but this just a total guess as I came to this section as not got one of these boxes but planning to soon

Run a live Ubuntu disc in your windows pc that should help you see the hdd. Don't install Ubuntu just run from disc
