5402 timer recordings

i have a 5402 hd when i set the the timer to record alls i get when trying to play back is a blank screen the recording mode is fine as when i press for instant record it plays back fine its just when i use the timer any ideas

Have you checked to see if its actually recorded from the timer, I would try and play the .ts file it creates on another source such as a computer just to check

What channel list are you using????? I have recently been made aware that timer recordings on the tm5402 can be hugely effected by gmt errors in the channel list. I have not gotten round to fixing gmt errors on my 28.2 list due to working for a slave driver but have fixed them on multi sat. To check for gmt errors you need to open list with Clarke tech and select transponder view. Then double click each transponder in turn to bring up tp values in here you will see a box called gmt errors this should be blank or have a zero. Anything else will cause problems so delete anything that is in that box (ONLY THAT BOX) then save list and upload to stb. If that was the issue then you will now be able to timer record the correct thing. And not a blank screen.

to be honest mate i don't know what list it is it was pre-installed when i bought the box it was working fine up until a couple of weeks ago and then started playing up

How long has it been on the box? ?? Channels have been changing frequency on a daily basis just recently. Have you not noticed a a lot of channels missing

its been on the box for 12 months i've been re-scanning when channels have been going missing which has sorted that out to be honest mate i'm a complete noob on stuff like this i've read the advice you given me but haven't got a clue what it means, i do appreciate you trying to help me as i've said before everything else on the box is working fine its just the timer recordings cheers

I would suggest downloading and installing happy Highlanders list as he keeps it in order and bang up to date, And then with his new list on i would try the recording feature again

Try my last list from here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums....php?p=2022578 as I said earlier I haven't done the gmt errors on it but it will let you see if you like the layout. The next update will have all gmt errors fixed but the one in the link should work for most timer recordings

To give you a helping hand i have edited HH's list and cleared all the GMT errors out of the TP's there was only around 9 so not a big deal
