Hi everybody got a tm5402 m2 downloaded the patch and it worked fine after a couple of days there was just 4 dashes on the display phoned technomate and they said prob a software issue restart holding standby button did a factory reset and now no matter which patch I install when it reboots it goes back to the 4 dashes and no picture output anybody come across this before or any ideas thanks in advance

Factory reset will not remove any patched firmware. Flash the box with original technomate firmware. Remember the support guys from technomate are assuming you are using original firmware. Once you have flashed original firmware make sure you can view fta channels. If you can, Flash box again with a phantom patch but make sure the patch is for m2 not original tm5402. If you have flashed the box with the wrong firmware you should be able to recover it with original tm firmware -
Thanks for you reply i have tried to install the original firmware quite a few times but the same result it just sticks on the four dashes on reboot think the box is faulty gonna try to send it back i bought two boxes at the same time and the other is working fine so i uploaded the software from the working box and tried it on the non working box but the same 4 dashes coming up on reboot think the box has gone now so sent for another and asked how to go about sending it backComment
