Sound Sync Issues TM 5402 M2

Had my 5402 for about a week now and started of with the latest patch for the M2 and the add on, but the sound goes go out of sync within a few seconds on the sly channels. So I went back and started again and followed the following procedure:

    1. Factory reset the box on the current firmware
    2. Loaded on the official firmware via USB and then reboot
    3. Factory reset the box via the menu and then switch off on rear for 30 seconds
    4. Switched box back on and then flash Patched 101 (appears to be recommended patch for no issues, mind I am not so sure)
    5. Switched box off at rear for 30 seconds
    6. Switched on again and once again menu and factory reset on 101p firmware
    7. Loaded 002 ADDON patch and factory reset once again
    8. Loaded channel list

Still got the same problems, anyone got any suggestions as to what I have done wrong?

    Thanks

try using 110P.... i know @digicon uses 101P on the TM5402HD M2 on his installs without issue. also instead of using a back-up channel list try doing a fresh channel scan to see if its still there, regards mdt

I would try a different channel list from fresh just in case the one your putting back on the receiver is having an adverse affect on it.

You pretty much followed the Re-Flash procedure to the 'T' so you may have to go through exactly the same process again.

I tend to Reset to factory switch off 30 seconds, Switch on Factory reset again patch with patched firmware reset and switch off again and repeat this all the way through to adding the ADDON and even your Softcam.key file if using one.

Then maybe do a fresh re-scan on the satellites you want and see if that cures the problem

Hi. Do you get this problem on all channels??? Have you tried a different HDMI/scart connection at the back of tv? Also try and connect a DVD/video player and see if it gives same problems - if so this could indicate a tv problem. If DVD/video work ok then its not tv but receiver. You could also try and get the audio via the receiver phono connections at the back - you will see audio/video connections coloured red white and yellow. Yellow is for the video and the other two are for audio. You will need to connect these three cables to your tv(assuming your tv has these connections). If this works ok then the problem lies with the audio output for HDMI/scart connection. Good luck

            Regards.

              Hi.

Nuts and Bolts - Nope only get the issue on the sly channels. Official sky box is fine as is the Blu ray player. However, I am using a home cinema amp and both receivers and the BR player feed it with optical outputs. But I assume this should not be issue.

Digicom - I have another go and include your suggestion, mind I have done blind scan as well as using the channel list supplied in downloads. Report back on Wed when I get back home.

Thanks for your suggestions hopefully I'll get there soon.

Hi. You could also try and connect your receiver to another tv not connecting to your home cinema setup . If it works then problem lies with your home cinema setup. As your Sky box is working ok can you not try and connect the cables from Sky box to your 5402 and see if you get same problem. very strange that all channels apart from Sky are working. Good luck.

Not that strange really. The m1 5402 suffers from an issue with the sound sync but only if the channel glitches caused by unstable thing that can't be named whether it be from the local sly setup or whether it be from another source. You don't always notice the glitch if it's very quick and the sync issue is generally more noticeable on hd. The fact it doesn't happen on fta kinda confirms my theory

Tried 3 different ones all the same problem, I have even stopped everyone using their laptops etc whist trying to watch, still the same. You are right HD is worse that the others.

PS thanks for the channel list really useful.

Hi I said strange because my TM5402 is perfect on sound and vision on all channels . I am using patch 136 and so far no problems.

                        Regards.

Mine is the same using pretty much all Patches. But I do have the opportunity to test variables so to speak which has led to my findings of hd (mainly) going out of sync if glitching or full on freezing occurs and is almost always down to the quality of the third party but glitching can also be caused on my system of I use any of the outer ports on a sly quad lnb but only effects my tm and not any of vu+'s, now that's strange

Hi. Thats very strange indeed a VU better than a TM??? That cant be true surely.... As already stated me and my customers dont have problems with TM5402 because we have a very good and professional third party setup. Only the best for me will do..

                            Regards.

I'm the same and have a very stable setup on all my boxes but you wouldn't believe some of the sh1te I've had the misfortune of being asked to test. Well you probably would tbh there's a lot of it about nowadays
