    TM Twin Softcam help

Right after missing out on last nights royal rumble I have decided to pull my finger out and install Mgcamd on my TM Twin.

All files are in place and using the what's open with softcam file I have tested a few channels on 0.8w and 39e and none of them clear.

Mgcamd is installed and running and softcam.key file is in correct place.

What can I check/Double Triple check?

We cant help you with the Cam side as you rightly put it yes its breaking one of the forum rules: Discussions about cardsharing are not allowed, including, but not limited to, cccam, gbox, mbox, etc

Although your question does not directly relate to C/S it does relate to Cams, your softcam.key file needs to be in /usr/keys and thats about as far as this can go

Thanks for clearing things up. Yes the file is in correct location.

I did google for the file I might try a different one and see if that makes any difference.

You have to realise that you have to have 2 Cams in your receiver for the keys to be read correctly one begins with the letter C and the other you have mentioned with the letter M.

So some channels open being read by C. and some open being read by M.

39? east Diema and Novasport are read by Cam 'M' just as an example

Thanks again. Yes have c installed and m installed and o is there also for future experimentation.

Those channels you mention are the ones I tested on that sat but the screen stayed black. I also tested some channels on 0.8w that are in the list off here which tells you what's open but still nothing.

I assume in theory that only m is running and I go to the channel and it should kick in?

Some of the Channels that are open with softcam on 0.8? west also need a different approach with the 'O' Cam you need the modified version that ends with the name ymod so it would be 'O'ymod the one your looking for again this will open ceratin parts of the satellite ARC with its softcam keys.

as for the others staying black on the 'M' cam have a look at your MG_CFG file and go through the settings making sure its correct, also for the 'C' cam you need a properly configured .cfg file so that it points the cam to where the .key file is.

If your .cfg file is Blank or just contains a certain something we cant talk about with nothing else in there then its not configured correctly

Bingo. According to what you say then 'c' is not configured properly.

Nothing is pointing. I think I know the correct syntax. Will look into it.

Me again no success last time. Been busy at work so not had much time at all to mess with this but I am determined to get it working.

Hope none of the following is against rules and Mods feel free to edit as necessary.

In this case I am only trying to use M for the sports channel on 39e.

Could somebody please check if the following settings is correct. I did find a post on here with information and changed the values but still not working.

Thanks tried that but still no joy. Tried G with both options and nothing. Not sure what else to try now as I think all info is up to date and in correct location.
