    TM-F3/5 HD

Hello - a stupid newbie seeking help,
Have just purchased a Technomate TM-F3/5 HD and am trying to enter biss keys in order to clear the BBC channels on 27.5W
The key I have been given is 16 characters long, where as receiver requires 32 characters long keys.
I have read somewhere that the frequency, audio, video pids etc. etc. somehow are imbedded in the key. I don't know how this works, and don't know how to and where to start.
I have been searching for a "Dummy's Guide to entering biss keys" - but have draw a blank.
Is there someone kind and patient enough to point me in the right direction (in Dummy's terms - please) I would be extremely grateful.
    Thank you in advance.

Edit: I should mention that I have managed to load the latest patch for the TM-F3/5

Haven't got that model, but a 6800 HD Super but maybe this helps:I put the 16 character Biss code in and ignore the remaining 16..The current code is 19 XX XX XX XX XX XX 1C .You may be able to just change the vpid, apid and ppid(same as vpid) by using the Edit Pids menu and the info on lyngsat for 11495V44100 on 27.5W.This works for SD channels, for me,but for HD I had to recreate the channel(after deleting it) with the Add Channels menu, selecting the correct transponder, putting the channel name,tv for channel type, the pids in,H264 for video and Mpeg4 for audio.I sort the pids out before doing the Biss. After you've sorted the pids, etc you go into view mode for one channel at a time and then go into the Biss menu(a short-cut on the mine is to type 8280), on the top line, enter the biss code using the ok button to bring up hex keyboard and exit and save. You'll be able to see that channel now after fully exiting.Go to the next channel you want to see and go into Biss.Go to the line with the code entered, above, then exit/save.You'll need to do this for all the other channels to see them.Hope I've got this right,I haven't been doing it for long.Good luck.Cheers

I created a Channel list for another member which is located here: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...8/#post2232064 it has all the Pids Vid/Audio in place so all you need to do is press 8280 on the remote and enter the key

THANKS A MILLION TO BOTH OF YOU!!
        (Capital letters are on purpose)
You have saved my day, enabling me to pick up these channels in the South of Portugal.
        Many many thanks

EDIT: Managed to find the VPID and APID for BBC red button 301, but cannot find the same details for BBC red button 302 - Any ideas??
