    Technomate 5400HD M1 Ethernet problem

Hi all here's a chin rubber or is for me. I'm having problems with a Technomate 5402HD M1 receiver after patching it I'm unable to access Youtube and get the following message if I click on a video "Request-URL Not Found" If I roll back to Technomates original firmware YouTube will connect no problem.

Things I've tried: loading patches 136p, 135p and 133p always rolling back to Technomates original firmware first before trying another patch.

Switching the receiver completly off to allow the patch to load properly.

Loading patches with both a null cable and USB.

Anything I'm missing here? If my Ethernet port is up the spout why does it work with Technomates original firmware?

    Over to you guys.

Hi.. In theory it should work. Have you tried latest patch 138?? Works ok on my box. A silly question but has UTUBE ever worked on your box???. Also try patch 127 as this should also work. Make sure also that you have the addon patch 002 installed for ethernet connections or reinstall again. I am sure your problem is to do with wrong patch.

    Regards.

Hi Nutsandbolts I didn't know there was a patch 138. I've got to be honest and say I've never tried YouTube on this particular receiver which is normally at my fathers who doesn't have broadband installed and uses it for FTA and the few channels that still open with softcam. I myself own an M2 which has never had connectivity issues with Youtube or Ethernet.

I can confirm that patch 127 does indeed work and so does 128 as I've laboriously rolled back through the patches until finding one that works with YouTube.

Any chance of a link to the new patch 138 either here or via PM?

Many thanks for your help and interest.

Its no big secret where the Patched firmware is available :
          Code:
          http://download.for-better.biz/bbs/list.php?board=tm5402hd

and the latest patch for both the M1 and M2 is actually 139p which i have included here

Have you checked the IP settings, perhaps it switches DHCP off when you load a patch?Should be on for most people, unless you're assigning your own addresses. Also in IP settings, and if DHCP is on,you can see the addresses the router has assigned to your receiver.
