hi bought the daughter a tm5300d+ usb super+ receiver today off ebay without checking up on them first i just assumed it would work like my tm500s but realised it has no internet port any how done a bit reading and still a little bit puzzled basically could i use this box on 28.2 east fixed dish to receive uk channels

Plug in coax from dish and receive fta on 28.2. You won't get anything on 28.2 without using the Internet and we can't discuss that part any further

Don't bin it ... it will pick up freesat just fine pass it on to someone who will be happy with a easy to use stb
