Hi @bartdude777, I have a tm-5400 super, Its a good receiver, easy to use, you can record to usb ect... However i have just taken delivery of a Dm-500s clone, popular theory is that the non Linux boxes will only be good for fta or paid subs once the n2 changes to n3 encryption. Personally i will keep my tm-5400, its a great box... But i am also starting to play around with the Linux box just to get the hang of it and keep my options open.

My advice to you would be to have a good read up on the sat forums here... there are lot of people who have posted some great advice and ideas. Do your homework and see what suits your needs best, before laying out your hard earned cash.
Best of luck in your search.

Ps. It has 25 sats programmed into it... However for best results you should scan yourself and edit your channel lists yourself, all easy to do with this stb.
